Evidence collection, wage assessment and reporting for NSW workers compensation audits. Clear guidance for employers, with authorised review at each stage.
Select “Access your audit” and use the portal access reference and contact email recorded in your audit notice. A single-use code is sent to that email. Once signed in, confirm the audit details and follow the document instructions.
What documents will I need?
Start with the standard payroll report specified for your system and the exact audit period. The portal explains the fields required, including earnings and employer superannuation. Further documents are requested only where your answers or the auditor’s review identify a relevant item.
What happens if we have apprentices or other special wage items?
The request expands to the relevant supporting records—for example, apprentice registration details and a payroll breakdown. The portal explains which report or official document to provide. You do not need to upload every business record at the outset.
Do I need to create an account?
No permanent employer account or password is required. A fresh one-time code is sent to the verified contact email for each new sign-in. Staff use a separate, authorised sign-in.
Can I comment on the findings?
Yes. The preliminary report is provided for employer comment. Submit your explanation through the portal. If further documents are needed, the audit team will request the relevant records there. An authorised reviewer considers the response before final issue.
Are audit decisions made automatically?
No. Technology helps organise the evidence and support calculations. Wage treatments, findings and issued reports remain subject to authorised human review.

For an existing audit, include your case reference. Do not send payroll files or sensitive employee information by email. Provide these through the audit portal.
